Portrait Photography

Portrait photography is photography of a person or a group of people showing the expressions and personality of the current mood usually only focusing on the subjects face but also allowing the background and body language to be shown.


Cecil Beaton- famous portrait photographer

Cecil Beaton was hired by Vanity Fair and Rogue in his early professional years when he was just starting out, he developed a unique style of photography that wasn't seen before with a strange way of posing and weird style of backgrounds, and was well known for his Marilyn monroe.

Cecil Beaton also branched out into interior design and became a famous interior designer and won a oscar for his stage costume design and after a successful career in all the different choices of work he did, he dies at the age of 76 in his home in England.














Landscape Photography

Landscape photographers use there knowledge of using cameras to show different spaces of the world with large vast pictures and with unending creative pictures also known to experimenting with microscopic images

Landscape photographers usually take pictures of nature but also man-made objects and landscapes on equations as nature photos are usually there speciality and there more well known for it as they also try to document there space and show appreciation of there scenery.


Ansel Adams- famous landscape photographer


Ansel Adams is a famous american landscape photographer and enviromentalist having become famous especially for his black and white photos expressing the american west and Yosemite national park which have been widely popular and have been reproduced in posters, calendars and in books.














Band Photography

Band Photography is the photography of specifically taking photos of bands, which may include different angles and shots also everything from long to close up pictures but the maim goal is to take pictures of the bands and musicians involved in the group. 

Ross Halfin- famous band photographer

Ross started first in an art college in Wimbledon in the 70s which coincidentally was the place where he came across his first camera "Pentax Spotmatic" which he then started to try out photography.

He hated art school but thought it was hugely pretentious and as he got more and more into his photo taking he started to sneak cameras into music events and started taking pictures and sending them to London music papers but because they were black and white he preferred to sneak into venues which had bands which had light shows to add colour to his photos.

When Ross had started taking pictures more seriously and earning money off it he had come in contact with Geoff Barton who had a idea about a magazine called Kerrang which he was assed questions about what coloured pictures he had taken where he said he had taken photos of ACDC and was given the job of a rock photographer.














Wildlife Photographer

Wildlife photography os said to be one of the hardest types of photography there is as well needing sound technical skills they also need to be able to expose correctly as well as needing good field craft skills for those animals that are hard to approach. also they need to know about the animals there taking photos of as they need to be able to prodict the animals behaviour.


Rathika Ramasamy- famous indian wildlife photographer

Rathika is the first woman wildlife photographer in india and is the leading photographer in this field as well as being verry good in this profetion she is also a computer engineer and has a MBA.

She ha been in this field now for over a decade and she is verry passinote about birds and likes taking photos of them especially, she has traveled to most national parks in india and in africa to try and get the best photos of these birds.

Rathika likes not only to take pictures id birds but she trys to capture the birds in a way that is creates a story in picture.

Her work has been shown in manny national parks and international publications and she uses many different cameras but mainly nikon D3 and nikon 4D cameras.










Sports photography


Sports photography covers all types of sports from profetional to amature and its a good way to promote spot as usually the photogrophers are usually hires by newspapers and agents as it is a good way to get sport more aware of and it can be done in a way that cant be accomplished by editorial means.

Bob Martin

Bob Martin is a multi-award winning sports photographer specialising in shooting action, graphic and editorial pictures for advertising.

During his successful career in the last 30 years he has taken pictures of some major sporting events from the olympics to elephant polo and horse racing on ice. On his travels he has been around the world capturing images that has been published in sport publications like Time, Newsweek, Stern etc.

As a English illustrated photographer he is the first to be based out side the UK and focus more on USA property and his work is extremely recognisable as been recognised in over 57 nations and he has won lots of awards for his work.

ost recently in his work he has based his skills around the London 2012 olympics and during the game has been appointed as the overall photo chief based in the MPC.
